AboutBalmoral

Balmoral Royal Selection cigars are a variety of hand-made long-filler cigars produced in the Dominican Republic. These cigars have good balance, excellent burn, and present a smooth and rounded flavor. The masters have carefully selected all the tobaccos that make up this series. The tobaccos used are aged for 2 to 3 years and must rest for at least 6 months after production to achieve a harmonious and balanced blend. The wrapper is Connecticut shade grown in Ecuador (though a lighter color was chosen to limit strength), or Brazilian wrappers from the Maduro series. The binder is Dominican Olor; finally, the filler consists of Dominican Olor tobacco, Piloto Cubano (grown from Cuban seeds in Santo Domingo), and a top-quality Mata Fina leaf grown in Bahia. For those smokers seeking a mild flavor at a very low price, Balmoral has a great idea: to offer a small machine-made cigar with the same tobacco selection: "Balmoral Dominican Selection." This is an excellent alternative to the classic Sumatra cigars. They come in various packaging, from "pocket" to boxes of 50. Like the "Royal Selection," they feature Ecuadorian Connecticut wrappers and Dominican Olor binders, allowing cigar enthusiasts to discover another "terroir": the Dominican Republic.
