Don Pepin

In June 2002, Don Pepin Garcia and his family established the "El Rey de los Habanos" factory. Pepin comes from a family of tobacco growers and joined the family business at the age of 11 in November 1961. He first worked at a factory owned by one of his uncles in the small town of Bejucal in the Villa Clara province of Cuba. In 1963, he joined the "Felix Rodriguez" factory, owned by another uncle, still in Bejucal. He had a long career there until he was able to leave Cuba permanently in 2001. During this time, he received countless honors and awards for the quality of his work, including the prestigious "Productivity Award" for successfully rolling 320 Julieta cigars in just 4 hours! His dexterity and agility are his strengths! His flexibility and nimbleness have often been compared to that of a magician by the Cuban media. Today, he owns his own factory in the "Little Havana" district of Miami. The team of rollers there has been trained by Don Pepin himself. They are experts in the most advanced and creative cigar-making techniques. This factory is recognized as one of the elite quality factories in the industry.
