Austrian lawyer Dr. Stefan Lampert is the driving force behind the "Lampert Cigars" brand. The idea of creating his own cigar brand came to him during a vacation in Thailand in 2016. Like many other vacationers, Stefan wanted to transfer the concept of bespoke suits, which he had extensive experience with, to cigars. After all, every customer has their specific requirements and preferences, just like in the case of high-end custom suits. This is how the first cigar series, "My Cigar Laboratory," was born. The purpose of this brand is to give customers the opportunity to create their own handcrafted premium cigars, just like in a "laboratory." After the "My Cigar Laboratory" series received great acclaim in the cigar world, the idea of a perfect cigar that evokes holidays and relaxation was born. Stefan experimented with various tobacco blends, but only one lingered in his mind. That was the one with a salty flavor. The blend of this cigar evokes the sea because it has a slightly salty taste. Thus, the "Ocean Breeze" cigar was born. To add more variety to the product range, Stefan sought another cigar manufacturer in Central America. Nicaragua was chosen for its tobacco history, quality, and great torcedores. By chance, Stefan met Indiana Ortiz, the youngest member of the Ortiz family and daughter of tobacco industry heavyweight Omar Ortiz. The two exchanged ideas and discussed the possibility of collaboration. They shared opinions on tobacco blends, flavors, and shapes.
