Cohiba Dinner of the Century Special Events Cohiba A

The Century Dinner was held on October 22, 1994, at the Laurent restaurant in Paris, organized by Cigar Aficionado magazine as a charity event. The Cohiba torpedo versions included were specially released for this event, with approximately 2000 cigars given as gifts to attendees. The charity auctioned 10 boxes of Cohiba A, each containing 50 cigars, all personally signed by Castro. Following 1994, limited edition humidors of Cohiba were also released. (Another account: Marvin R. Shanken held a dinner in Paris known as the Century Dinner. The exclusive premium cigars at the time were only enjoyed during the dinner: Cohiba Pyramid and the 'Gigante' Cohiba A. These cigars were made solely for that occasion, and only six boxes were auctioned that night, or some may still exist in certain places.)
