Description
Released in 2003, specially custom-made by Caracol SA of Cuba, each box contains five types of cigars, totaling 135 cigars, with a total of 135 boxes issued. (To commemorate the 135th anniversary of Pinar del Río, which is consistently referred to as the 'Tobacco Capital of Cuba'. The humidor features the signatures of five major tobacco farmers. The 'Vegueron' cigar in this humidor is referred to by many as 'Cepo'. Reportedly, this humidor was originally intended to select the 'Belicosos Extra' cigar, but at the last moment, Caracol SA, which commissioned the humidor, changed its mind. To fill this gap, a pre-rolled 'Prominentes' cigar measuring 49 x 194MM was trimmed to fit the space in the cigar box, creating a unique factory size. This cigar does not have an official name, but internally, it is referred to as 'Vegueron'. 'Cepo' seems to be a misreading of the ring gauge text. It contains Selección No. 1 (20 cigars) size: 38 x 192mm specification: Long Panetela; Selección No. 2 (15 cigars) size: 38 x 152mm specification: Panetela; Mavas (25 cigars) size: 42 x 129mm specification: Petit Corona; Suan (25 cigars) size: 33 x 126mm specification: Small Panetela; Vegueron (50 cigars) size: 49 x 141mm specification: Grand Corona.
