The tobacco is sourced from private plantations in Ecuador, where the cloud cover subtly filters sunlight. After harvesting, the leaves are placed in the Fuente factory's specialized fermentation rooms for 4-5 years, until they achieve the standard color and oiliness before being rolled. The VSG series debuted in 1999 and quickly captured the hearts of cigar enthusiasts, frequently appearing on Cigar Aficionado magazine's lists, with a top score of 94. This series of cigars contains flavors of cedar, earth, coffee beans, and leather, perfectly blended across several shapes, including the classic Robusto, Lonsdale, and Perfecto. Originating from the Dominican Republic, with wrappers from Ecuador, the taste includes earth, cedarwood, leather, spice, and coffee beans.
