Description

Features of the Humidor This humidor is based on an outstanding artwork by master Roberto Fabelo, which is itself a bronze sculpture originating from the 2012 work of the same name, themed “Un Poco de Mosolros.” This piece is an adaptation of the original work by the internationally renowned author, depicting a group of unique characters, which are marvelous and distinctive in the original work, representing true figures from Fabelo's works, sharing space in the ash of a Havana cigar, yet each existing in their own world. These characters enjoy the cigar in various ways, adding more drama to the piece, which aligns with its purpose as a humidor to be auctioned on the grand night of the Havana International Festival. They smoke or do not smoke, representing a fact deep within each of us, the essence of humanity, and of course, possibly representing their preference for the brand they embody at that moment. The humidor accompanies this piece while also defining and perfecting it by placing it at the core of the modernity and refinement of the Cohiba brand, including Cohiba cigars and their varieties. In this piece, the elegance and strength exhibited by a structure combining modernity and tradition are particularly prominent. In terms of decoration, the brand's unique colors are very striking. This grand cylindrical top piece represents a Havana cigar, consisting of 10 drawers and surrounded by rings identifying Cohiba, the most important brand in the Havana cigar industry. It is adorned with metal, utilizing various gold and silver filigree techniques. In the production process, precious Cuban woods, such as ancient mahogany and cedar, are used, with metal elements decorated to express the most recognizable symbols of Cohiba. Fine woodworking and gold and silver filigree craftsmanship are the most relevant typical crafts in this humidor. Humidor dimensions: height 40 cm (including the sculpture, which is removable), width 78 cm, depth 78 cm. Materials: metal, stainless steel, wood - cypress and cedar. Finished with polyurethane and matte treatment. It contains 550 cigars: 20 BHK 58, 20 BHK 54, 20 BHK 52, 20 Coronas Especiales, 20 Espiendidos, 20 Genios, 20 Lanceros, 20 Magicos, 20 Medio Siglo, 20 piramides Extra, 20 Robustos, 20 Maravillas, 30 Panetelas, 20 Double Coronas, 20 Siglo III, 20 Siglo IV, 20 Siglo V, 20 Siglo VI, 40 Talisman, 20 Geniales, 20 Sublimes Extras, 20 Piramides, 20 Gran Corona, 20 Robusto Especial, 20 Robustos Supremos, and 20 Cohiba 1966. Author information for the humidor: Created by the Humidor Craftsmen and Artists team (Grupo de Artesanas y Artistas Humidores Fatana), under the guidance of Jose Ernesto Aguiera Roja, with participation from Nelson Pirez Dominguez, Oani Martinez Sohuyo, and Raul Delgado Tones. Gabriel Cisneros Delis is responsible for design and technical consulting, with collaboration from Jose Manuel Guiz Igarza and Osviel Carlo Probance. This is an experienced team in creating exclusive humidors for the Havana Festival, with their works appearing at auctions since 2005, also used for special series like Havana cigars SA (this product is commercialized in many countries). They have significant participation in international events in the EU and other countries, and many of their works have won awards at important art events such as Puro Arte and the Havana Festival itself.
