Description

Features of the Humidor This piece is inspired by the design of the Partagas brand headquarters building. It essentially consists of three parts that reinterpret iconic elements from the cigar world, emphasizing the brand's unique characteristics, thus forming a one-of-a-kind element. With its shape, it aims to convey strength and elegance while evoking a sense of a traditional piece. Visually, it is designed as a box containing three parts (base, body, and top). The base replicates the shape of the Partagas factory itself, serving as a carrier of tobacco traditions, which are reinterpreted in the body section through a seemingly haphazard arrangement of pressed boards (drawers for storing cigars) to give it a natural feel. These boards resemble drawers, housing the brand's cigars. Finally, the top is a formal replica of the factory's front, providing a visual apex for the piece and showcasing the brand. This humidor can hold over 400 cigars, distributed across 14 drawers and one drawer for placing a humidifier. The entire piece is crafted by experienced artisans using high-quality materials to ensure the proper care of the cigars inside. It contains 420 cigars: 25 Series No.1, 20 Serie D No.5, 20 Lusitanias, 20 Serie D No.6, 20 8-9-8, 20 churchills Deluxe, 20 Serie E No.2, 20 Serie D No.4, 20 Presidentes, 20 Serie P No.2, 20 Salomones, 20 Sobresalientes, 20 Selección Privada, 30 Maduro No.1, 40 Maduro No.2, 40 Maduro No.3, 20 Duke No.1, and 25 109. This humidor ultimately auctioned for €250,000. This humidor was created by the “Unión” team, consisting of craftsman Alejandro García Yapir and architect-designer Jackme! Llera Colarelo, with renowned silversmith Jorge Gilquien participating, who has extensive experience in titanium. The humidor's dimensions are 170 cm long, 85 cm wide, and 55 cm deep. The materials used include Cuban mahogany (tedro cubano), okume, and mahogany (caoba), with metal components made of stainless steel (acero inoxidable) and titanium (titanio).
