The tobacco is cultivated in private lands in Ecuador, where the unique cloud cover acts as a natural filter, skillfully screening sunlight. After harvesting, the leaves are sent to the Fuente factory's specialized fermentation rooms, where they undergo a fermentation process lasting 4 to 5 years, until they exhibit the standard color and oiliness before being rolled.
